Michael Suing, PT, DPT

Michael is originally from Madison, WI and obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, IL.  Michael enjoys working with patient of all ages and a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.   Michael’s goal as a Physical Therapist is to utilize movement, postural adaptations, manual therapy, and lifestyle modifications to improve the quality of life of each patient.  His approach is to treat everyone as an individual, emphasize education with every encounter and work together to provide the best clinical outcome.   When not working, Michael enjoys working out, hiking, running, and spending time outdoors.

Jessica Ashe, MS, OTR/L

Jessica joined Highline Physical Therapy in August of 2016. Jessica earned her Masters of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Puget Sound in 2013. Jessica’s treatment philosophy is that it is essential to learn from and listen to patients, because it helps to maximize their return to function. She always tries to approach clients with openness and understanding of their uniqueness. That is what makes occupational therapy special and rewarding. Jessica also has experience in pediatrics, and has the SIPT certification (Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing). Outside of work Jessica enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, and napping outside on warm, sunny days. She also enjoys playing with her dog and cat.

Shannon Smith, OTR/L, CHT

Shannon graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1993 with her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She has worked in a variety of patient care settings including spending four years abroad working in England and Ireland. Shannon has specialized in treating UE orthopedic and neurological conditions for the past 10 years, and received her Certified Hand Therapy certification in 2015. Her treatment philosophy is to involve the patient in their treatment planning and educate them on their condition. She specializes in treating repetitive strain injuries, post op orthopedic injuries to both the hand and elbow, and neurological conditions such as stroke and MS. In her free time she tries to keep up with her very active son, enjoys going on hikes and snow shoeing in the winter.

Laura Jimenez, LMT, PTA, CLT, CPT

Laura has been practicing physical therapy for eight years in an outpatient orthopedic setting. She graduated in 2010 from PIMA Medical Institute in Seattle with a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Honing her skills even more, she received her degree in 2016 as a Licensed Massage Therapist. And in 2017, became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist as well as a Certified Personal Trainer. Laura has a history in Sports Therapy working with high school athletes and provided care for the Seahawks in 2011 during the NFL lockout. In her spare time, Laura enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their dog “Pepsi”.

Ira Holt, PTA

​​​​Ira graduated from the Green River College Physical Therapist Assistant program and has been a licensed PTA since 2017. Ira has a passion for movement and admiration for the power of the body when used correctly. His enthusiasm for physical therapy comes from the belief that movement is the best medicine and an integral piece of our overall health. His mission is to provide education through treatment so that each patient leaves his care with the tools needed to maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle. His approach to treatment combines manual therapy and exercises to re-establish movement patterns and improve functional mobility after injury. ​Ira enjoys working with all ages and injuries and considers patient care a top priority. In his free time, he enjoys staying active through hiking, fitness, and sports. 

Deborah Beekman, PTA, Physician Liaison

Deborah graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College in Wisconsin. Since then she has worked in CA, AZ and WA in many therapy settings including acute care, sub-acute, inpatient, outpatient, home health and contract therapy including work as a Rehab Manager. Deborah enjoys helping people get back to the best they can be, enhancing their lifestyle no matter the age or the injury. She believes with effective communication between the healthcare team, the patient’s personal goals and hard work, success will be the result. Deborah is well-versed in variety of areas including sports medicine, orthopedics, TMJ, chronic pain, neurology, work conditioning/hardening, TBI, aquatics as well as wellness and balance program development. She enjoys working with the community and has spoken on various topics including posture, body mechanics, wellness, caregiving, bariatric care and more. Family time is dear to her heart. She loves the outdoors and taking time in nature to enjoying the beauty it has to offer. She enjoys kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, biking, hiking, swimming, dancing, watching a sunrise/ sunset, listening to waves or a rippling creek. She also enjoys baking and playing music. Having a good cup of coffee and spending time with friends is golden.

Darren Roxas, COTA

Darren graduated in 2015 from Pima Medical Institute as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant with his Associates of Science degree. Darren’s treatment philosophy is that if you put the patient first then everything will fall in line. He focuses on returning the patient back to function so they can enjoy their life to the fullest. Darren continues to expand on his knowledge and skillset through continuing education courses in order to better provide for his patients. In his free time, Darren stays active and healthy through any and all outdoor activities. He enjoys spending time with his son coaching soccer as well.

Bridgette Burdyshaw, LMT

Bridgette has been practicing massage therapy for over 17 years in a clinical setting. She graduated in 2001 from Northwest School of Massage with a certificate for massage therapy. Bridgette has furthered her training with certification in Intraoral TMJ treatments as well as Cupping and Gua Sha. Bridgette has focused her career on deep tissue, auto accident recovery, and post injury/surgery healing. She also treats the whole body with preventative maintenance. In her spare time, Bridgette enjoys her family, friends and learning about biohacking our bodies.
