Children and Young Adult Sports Rehabilitation

Highline Physical Therapy Highline Physical Therapy

By providing pediatric sports rehabilitation, our clinics allow young athletes to receive specialized treatment and screening to treat injuries and prevent future injuries from occurring. Sports play is the second most common cause of injuries in teens between 13 and 19 years of age, and 20-40% of teenage athletes sustain injuries that temporarily restrict play. Unfortunately, many young athletes return to their sport before they have been properly rehabilitated, with a high risk of sustaining future injuries or re-injuring themselves. Our therapists are trained in validated screenings, tests, and treatments to help young athletes return to their sport as quickly as possible, with the necessary tools to protect and prolong their sporting careers.

What are the goals of the pediatric sports rehab program?
  • Safe, expedited return to sport and deterrence of re-injury
  • Improved balance, strength, power, and coordination
  • Athlete and family education and tools on safe return to sport
